Treatment of the latter usually needs intralipid or IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulins) infusions, blood thinning medications (to reduce blood clotting), and the use of medications such as steroid tablets, Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor and Adalimumab (Humira) injections.

Most of these cases need close follow up during antenatal care, even after the stages where miscarriage may happen, since they are liable to preterm labor, poor fetal development, and preeclampsia.
